In southern Tanzania, on the north-west side of Nyerere National Park which was previously known as Selous Game Reserve, lie two small, quite offbeat national parks (Mikumi national park and Udzungwa mountain national park). Both parks are easily accessible by road. Mikumi National park supports large number of elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, impala, waterbuck, reedbuck, warthog, yellow baboon, lion, hyena, antelope and many species.

Day 1

Dar es salaam to Mikumi National Park

Depart at 7:30 a.m. after breakfast from Dar es Salaam via Morogoro, with picnic lunch packs. Proceed with afternoon game drive till evening at Mikumi. We shall come across lions, elands, hartebeest, buffalos, wildebeest, giraffe, zebras, elephants, wild-dogs and many bird species. Drive for overnight at Bastian camp lodge.

Day 2

Mkumi to Udzungwa then back to Mikumi

After early breakfast, we start driving to Udzungwa national park. We shall have a short briefing then trek through the spectacular trails up to Sanje water falls, one of the unique features of Udzungwa National Park. Here you will get a good view of kilombero plain that is widely famous for agriculture.
Drive to Bastian camp lodge for overnight (Full board arrangement).

Day 3

Mikumi National Park to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast then proceeding with early morning game drive. Mikumi national park just like other parks in the northern zone, is well known for a diversity of animal species and due to its Savannah plain, animals are easily accessible. After extensive game drive, drive back to Dar es Salaam.
