Itinerary
Day 1
Lake Manyara National Park
We'll depart Arusha in the morning to Lake Manyara National Park for the full day game drive in the park. Lunch will be served at the park then have a drive to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Lake Manyara is famed for its tree-climbing lions and boasts the highest concentration of pachyderms in Tanzania. Upon entering the gate, visitors are greeted by lush forests, which are home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. Nearby, buffaloes and hippos can be observed in the Hippo Pool. The landscape transitions into flat-topped acacia woodlands, where, during the heat of the day, lions can often be spotted lounging on tree branches—a behavior unique to Manyara lions.
Day 2
Ngorongoro Crater
After having an early breakfast, we'll depart for Ngorongoro Crater for the full day game drive with lunch in the crater. Later on, we'll drive back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Ngorongoro's caldera is home to one of the most breathtaking wildlife sanctuaries on earth. The fertile pasture and permanent water sources of the Crater floor sustain a resident population of approximately 20,000 large mammals. Animals are free to roam and they choose to stay due to favorable conditions. With much of the Crater floor covered in grassland, grazing animals such as wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, buffalo, elands, kongoni (Coke's hartebeest) and warthogs are abundant. Additionally, the swamp and forest areas provide essential resources for hippos, elephants with impressive tusks, waterbucks, reedbucks, bushbucks, baboons, vervet monkeys and some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhinos. The steep inner slopes provide a habitat for dik-diks and the rare mountain reedbuck.
Day 3
Tarangire National Park
Following breakfast, we'll journey to Tarangire for another afternoon game drive, searching for wildlife. Later in the day, we'll return to Arusha for your drop-off, marking the end of the tour.
The park derives its name from the Tarangire River, which traverses the area. It is distinguished by dense vegetation consisting of acacia and mixed woodland. Tarangire is renowned for its annual animal migration that occurs during the dry season.
